his illustration was done for the Microsoft Press book, “Microsoft .NET Remoting”. The robots in the illustration symbolize the elements of n-tier COM architecture, with the foreground robots being the presentation layer, the middle ground robots the Business Logic layer, and the background robots the Data Access Layer. This illustration was accomplished in Freehand, and was used as a decorative piece of art on blank verso pages at the end of the book's chapters.
